My recent works within interior spaces make reference to the world outside; an interconnectedness of all things and to the wider universe.

Sunlight and shadows reflect the human experience of life. Shadows evoke a sense of threat. The softer shadows, diffused light and sunlight from windows alters from moment to moment as it passes across walls and objects reflecting and making connection between various surfaces. As sunlight slowly passes over its path the scene is illuminated. Beautiful and ambiguous effects are created. The sunlight then passes on its way and is gone until the next time. This cycle of light is closely allied to the phenomena of energy, time and change. It can be seen to parallel the enigmatic nature of life itself.

The transient and the ambiguous are themes that I seek to develop in my work. I would like the viewer to engage in a visual conversation that creates personal meaning.
